There are a variety of ways you can fund raise for your student to participate in the Costa Rica trip:

1. Fundraising page - Crowd funding site works best if you have a large network of friends and family that want to support your student. Plenty of great fundraising websites exist. Some target students specifically, such as Angeldorm.com and GoEnnounce.com, while others target both students and non-students, such as YouCaring.com and GoGetFunding.com. You can use these websites, and others like them, to create a fundraising campaign for study abroad trips. You may get random donors, but more than likely, these campaigns are successful with the help of donations from friends and family members.

2. Employer Grants or Gifts - Some businesses will provide small grants or matching gifts to children of their employees. Ask about this program with your employer's human resources office.

3. Small Fundraisers - Hold a small fundraising event like a bake sale, car wash, Amazon gift wrap, house sitting, or other fee for services type events. One creative way is to ask friends and family to participate in a matching gift program (such as asking five people for $200 if you raise a $1,000).
